Drawing tablet for 10 year old

My 10 year old son is hooked on the site http://artpad.art.com but is frustrated by drawing with the mouse. (He has sketch books but loves the "replay" feature on the artpad site.) I was thinking of getting him a tablet/pen for Christmas. Can anyone offer input/suggestions?
