check the laptop, it may be already 100-240V, in which case you only need a plug adapter (not a transformer).
hair drier requires lot of power, usually 1000-1200 W. Where is she staying? Don't they provide a hair drier? this way she won't have to carry unnecessary weight.

yeah, that looks cool, namebrand, all in one, not dirt cheap but reasonable.
As for the hair drier, most hotels provide one, if not in the room, just ask at the reception desk. But the chance to have one in the room is 99.9%

carrying a hair drier is daft in my view.
most hotels have them in the bathrooms or hidden away in strange drawers - I'm writing from a hotel outside London and they have it in a drawer near the tea/coffee maker. if there isn't one in the room then reception will give you one. most people I know don't use things regularly anyway I have to admit.
I have never seen a laptop yet in my life that didn't have a 110-240v (+/-) powerpack. You can pick up the socket adaptors in any airport for $7-$12 when you arrive.

I got a socket adaptor in Radio Shack last year. It wasn't more than $15.

You can get a dual voltage hair dryer at Wally World for 9.95 - it will run fine with the plug adaptor you are getting for the computer.
But, do check with the hotel first - if they have one, no need to bring one along.
