Anybody?
Looking for a good quality, large capacity, high output humidifier that is reasonably quiet and easy to maintain...I've got about an 1,800 sq ft area that I need to moisturize.

start searching industrial supply houses like grainger.com. You will probably nend a dedicated power circuit and a hose to supply water.

No hose, my wife would kill me if we had a hose in the cribb...this our primary living space.
I'm gonna go look but...I'm thinking more on the lines of consumer level stuff with larger capacities.

if you really are talking about that volume, you are looking into something with a tank you will be filling with a 5 gallon bucket every day.
or maybe this one?
if this is for a whole house or condo, make sure you have good air circulation. My furnace fan is on 27/7 on low to even out air temp and remove dust from the air.

Do you have any walls or rooms, or one open space?
Have never heard of someone needing something like this.
You can put one on your central system. I had to disconnect mine..
Usually causes mold issues.
I use one for the room I am in. Air-O-Swiss Regular size.

It's basically an open space, old industrial conversion.
I don't have a central, forced air system, I have a unti heater/blower. The air circulation is constant and decent.
Racer, I don't mind re-filling..
Noise is a primary concern in many ways..I've heard a few that were loud.

I "think" the newer ones use a lot less power as they vaporize the water using ultrasonics rather than heating elements.
That second link looks very promising. I am thinking about one of them to boost my house from @50% to the high 50s. Just a moderate boost.

What about one of the console humidifiers from Sears?

Rather than one large one, would having two or more medium consumer-sized ones be an option? Curious why a mondo single unit is needed.

Venta Airwashers put a lot of moisture into the air and, come in three sizes. They don't have a humidistat so, you have to monitor humidity levels yourself and, switch the unit(s) on & off as needed. They're virtually silent as well.
