Yeah, I quit once many years ago. Well, quit for a year or so. It was easy. I just like coffee.

I quit for a few months when my wife did (for her first pregnancy). I really missed it, but I will admit, I did sleep better. Now I'm careful to not drink much caffeine at night, and I sleep fine. I can't quit cold turkey, though, I get headaches.

I quit at one stage and I found I had more energy (I though that quitting would give me less).
However I'm back on it again.

Four cups doesn't seem like a lot, unless you were having some kind of negative side effect. That's about how much I drink each morning over the space of a couple of hours. Maybe the caffeine has something to do with it but I really think it's more about the ritual and the fact that I love the coffee I make.
I'd worry if I worked in an office and wandered around all day with a cup of mud in my shaking hand.

Hehehehe. I've taken to having coffee with my morning breakfast. I now wake up and make myself breakfast every morning.
Today, I had to go extra heavy though because I found myself being dead tired. 3ish cups in the morning, 1 cup of bad Chai, and some once I got to work. I think I slept badily last night or something.

it's a youth thing. i play college coffeehouse and sometimes ask for a cup of decafe. many places don't even brew it. the baristas look at me with an incredulous look that asks 'Why in the world would we brew decafe?"
