one SINGULAR sensation (not)?!. . .FDA probing link between Singulair and suicide. . .
#1
. . .I know quite a few forum members take Singulair. . .

FDA looks into Singulair, risks of suicidal thoughts

. . .In the past year, drugmaker Merck (MRK) of Whitehouse Station, N.J., has added tremors, depression, suicidal thinking and behavior, and anxiety to the list of possible adverse side effects it gives doctors about the drug. . .

. . .Reports of possible links to suicidal thoughts have come to Merck "anecdotally from physicians, from patients and from parents or relatives," Philip says. But because the information the company receives can be "quite sketchy," Philip says it's not possible to definitively link the drug and these reported episodes. . .

the MISSING LINK to the story. . .

Hmmm. I took it for a month, and it didn't really help my asthma and was freaking expensive, so I stopped. And I'm actually feeling a bit more chipper since stopping.

Hmm.
Thanks for posting that. Guess I won't refill that prescription.

I have been on it for YEARS with very good results and none of those side effects (thank G-d). Those poor people!

I've been taking Singulair for years. I take it just before I go to sleep.

Maybe tonight will be my last…

I've been seeing a doctor for several months regarding chronic sinus congestion. Singular was prescribed but I passed. Not sorry I did now.

My 87 year old grandmother said it makes her shaky in larger doses so she cut hers in half.

My wife and I have been on it for almost 4-5 years for our asthma / allergies. Just got it refilled. However, over the last couple of months we have been very irritable and stressed. We figured it was due to a new baby in the house. However, last night we discussed that maybe Singular was causing this and the newest edition to the family is just bring out the side effect more to our attention.
