most americans would find the theory of "experience by proximity" laughable.
it might be hard for mccain to defend his support of bush/mccain foreign policy. it would be impossible to explain sarah's "unique" vision.
ymmv
be well

It makes me happy to see a reporter actually try and force a "guest" to answer the bloody question asked. I hate when someone asks a question and the person, like a trained seal gives an answer that is just their pre-programmed talking points. Both parties do it and it terribly disappointing. I recall Chris Matthews pressing a Hillary surrogate during an interview months ago.
The guy above guy comes off as the tech support person you call only to find out they can't think on their own and are reading from an "If this, then try this" manual. When they are allowed to do this, it only amounts to the equivalent of a free tv ad.
If McCain really cancelled because she tried to get a guy to answer a question, well that is also highly disappointing. The 'Straight talk Express'... but only on their terms.

Obama is set to appear on O'Reilly. That's good for him. It will only broaden his base.
McCain shouldn't have backed out from Larry King... except that well, Larry King is kinda creepy. Still though, he should have done it.

Appearing on these talk shows is the same as being quoted in the National Enquirer.

Why in the world would a news interviewer agree to a prearranged script? Wouldn't that be like providing free commercial time?

Maybe not pre-arranged scripts, but I wouldn't be surprised if certain topics were put off limits. Perhaps some that should be off-limits and some that shouldn't.
