Are we in a recession yet?

As a small business owner I did much better under Bubba and the Boom

My neighbor is doing a booming business in Real Estate though.
She's not selling as many houses but is managing ones that have been foreclosed on for the banks.

She visits the owners and offers them $1000 from the bank to move out and not trash the place,
and then she gets to list the house and act as a rental agent. Sweet!

Politics aside, I agree things look really bad. The problem for me is that I haven't actually _seen_ the effects. At least not yet. So it's hard for me to declare that there is a recession based entirely on what is written on the web or in the papers. kj.
