I'm way disappointed and don't think I'll waste another hour of my life.

The first episode sucked so badly, we erased it off the DVR about 45 minutes in. Totally uninteresting characters, plots that defy logic while purporting to be "scientific," and the girl isn't even pretty.
Thanks, but I remember The X-Files. Didn't like it, either.

This experiment has failed as far as I'm concerned. Out of respect to Abrams and all the brilliant work he's done in the past I'll tune in to the next episode, but no promises at all that I'll stick with it past even the first commercial break. After that, barring a BIG miracle, I'm probably an ex-viewer.
Speaking of commercials, they seemed to be a bit light on sponsorship last night. I wonder if that was planned, with a few sponsors hoping to be the early backers of another Abrams smash or is the show proving to be a tough sell?

Bad.
That seems to sum it up. Funny (though not intentionally; it's just so over-the-top, with the super-silly faux science.)

The Nutty Professor is really annoying.
Son of Nutty Professor needs a better actor to give this poorly written bad-boy some oomph. The Girl is fine when she's in something skimpy, but otherwise is kinda dull. The Police Commissioner from The Wire looks like he's sleepwalking through his lines. Come to think of it, so does Blair Brown. Come to think of it.... The whole idea of getting an image from a dead person's eyeball is a cliche, and it was just plain gross the way they did it. I thought the pacing and storytelling was just plain dreadful, with camera angles, arty dim lighting, and arty annoying jump cuts which made it hard to follow what the heck was going on. Like I cared. Imagine asking Sculley if she'd been "safe" the last time she had sex...
