See, here's the thing. I can't say she's not smart - I have no idea about her brain or mind.

However, she expresses herself in a godawful way, so that thoughts come out disjointed, and without any sort of supporting structure.

She speaks worse than me, worse than my wife, worse than you, worse than every member of my family, worse than everyone I work with, worse than mattkime, worse than swampy, worse than every damned person with whom I've ever come into contact on a real or virtual basis.

why sign on with the bush/rove types?
why pick palin?
why pull a stunt about the financial crisis.

all of the above makes mccain seem as reckless as bush

and as the senate ethics committee commented when they rebuked mccain over his role in the savings & loan scandel/keating 5, "we question your judgment"

That wasn't meant as backhanded at all. I know that we disagree about what's going on, but you express yourself in a series of supported thoughts. I may disagree with the support, but you are still very coherent. That may sound like damning with faint praise, but I'm not challenging your raw intelligence just because I disagree with you.

Palin does not support her thoughts. Even giving leeway for answering questions verbally, which few do as well as they write, her ideas do not follow one another logically. The same clause shows up at the beginning and end of a thought, there are massive leaps in logic...it's not, frankly, rational.
