That pretty much seals it in my opinion. Powell is one of the mostly highly respected Republicans.
This gives Obama a huge boost to people who viewed McCain as the better candidate for security and foriegn policy.

He also told Reagan to omitt the "tear down this wall"part of his speach at berlin for fear of offending Russia.
I see this as a positive for McCain as I never liked Powell. Powell sold out long ago. Nothing new here! Will Condi follow suit? Racism is as racism does.

IMHO Powell has a lot of penance to do before he makes up for lying to congress and the UN in the build-up to the war. This is a beginning, but only that.
