One of the most bothersome things about this election and this country is if Obama had made half the miscues and uttered a quarter the lies the Republicans have this campaign, he'd be dead and buried.

McPalin runs a campaign that makes the Dukakis run look good, yet he's within hailing distance (5-6 points) of actually winning the thing. This after 8-years of GOP mismanagement seemingly intended to prove that government can't work.

It's just stupefying.
