A number of disassociated people who come to a similar conclusion about something or someone may appear to be but isn't necessarily a pile on. If I assert: "kj likes playing victim" and others agree, is that a pile on?

There was no ganging up of any kind. This forum is just a bunch of individuals located all over the country who like to express their opinion and are bonded only by their common like of macintosh computers. The so called "mocking" posts subsequent to swampy's post were exactly the same as many many post series that have been made of ages here and at dealmac, both on the political and non-political sides. The "mocking" repetition is simply a forum tradition, nothing more. Anyone who thinks otherwise is being overly sensitive. It's a public forum...if you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen.
Also note that virtually every swampy post is obviously designed to be provocative and to annoy so called "liberals". I'm certain that swampy is happiest when he/she creates the biggest negative reactions. Since swampy's posts are not only provocative but so fact-challenged to lie deep in absurdity territory I, and no doubt many others, find it simple and irresistible to trash his/her commonly ridiculous statements.

Just to be clear, I've not asserted I'm the victim of anything. Just because I don't like something doesn't make me a victim in any conceivable way (where did that even come from?). Similarly, I find davester's argument (if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen) similar to the "if you don't like _blank_, you can move to canada" argument. Just because I complain about one aspect of the forum, doesn't mean I'm condemning the whole thing. As to the last point, if that's Swampy's aim, you guys certainly indulge her. I don't know whether I'd call that real pragmatic, in that you're encouraging what you hate, but whatever. kj.

As I have said before, the ridicule is not aimed at conservatives. It is aimed at swampy for her monomania about birth certificates, middle names and neighbors. No conservative other than swampy should take it personally. I suppose I should include George W. Bush as well. He should have plenty of time to read this forum since he hasn't been working his job lately.

The funny thing is, I wouldn't talk this to Beerman, Paul F., billb, or the other conservatives.
(dammit)
Have you assigned a sexual orientation to us , too ?
I find the childish response(s) to Swampy's posts characteristically typical.
Communal Democracy burned witches, too.
Some might even call it a form of racism.
We don't want no stinkin' swampies posting on this elitist no swampies allowed forum.
If the mods won't ban ya, we'll just ridicule ya away. You betcha. Any more conservatives in anyone's gun sights ?
