There is a a difference between having a parent (or spouse or partner) with an addiction and dealing illegal drugs. That difference becomes more pronounced when the person doing the dealing is the one that's supposed to be setting the example for the children they're raising.

The warrant resulted from an “undercover investigation,” according to Alaska State Trooper spokeswoman Megan Peters. She also added that the investigation “had been going on for a while.” Peters would not release any further information about the type or amount of drugs involved in the arrest because she said disclosing that information “could hamper the investigation.”

This isn't a poor dear gal with a mere substance abuse problem. I'm sure most of us have SOMEONE in their extended family that has had an abuse problem. Most of us know it's a time to be tender. But that is not what's going on here.

LONG TERM UNDERCOVER OPERATION. How many of us have someone in their extended family that was the subject of one of these? Not many I hope. Not me.

F all this sympathy crap. For all we know, she's sober and running a meth lab so she can buy diamonds and furs. At least, it's more likely than the tale that she's just another poor soul claimed by the illness of addiction.

The Palin connection is plainly clear. She went on and on about what a great small town life they had there and how it would be a good thing to spread it around by being VP.

Dunno. He seemed sincere that he wanted to marry her in the course of their little dog and pony show. Just because everything else coming out of Wasilla seems to stink doesn't mean there can't one little smidgen of honesty in there somewhere.

I'm surprised that you feel you can jump to conclusions about his motivations and his character without knowing _anything_ about him. Of course, we all know that anyone associated with a drug addict in any way is nothing but trash. The mother needs rehab, not jail kj.
