Yeah, the one here was closing up yesterday. It was a zoo; most of the employees were over at the service desk buying up all the remaining "good" stuff (which wasn't much) for themselves. There was a big stack of crappy to partly-crappy Blu-Ray discs, and I would have picked up "Invincible" if the line at the register hadn't been a mile long...

What's left in Tally in the way of an electronics store?

Today was the last day for the one here and they had a pipe burst and flooded the place.

I suppose that is some kind of a sign ....

Sounds like maybe they were trying to sell the remaining stock to the insurance company at full retail price.

Yesh, the one here in NE Ohio is gone and bye-bye. Picked up a wireless video cam for surveillance (my wife has been on me to do that for a while, we get the occasional teen Vandal, but usually don't see any Visigoths) on the cheap, and my 10 year old found a nice little iHome clock radio (xmas list item from one of the kiddies) that had been cowering under one of the shelves.

Sad, really. I bought a nice iMac when they stopped selling Apple last decade, following my "No more than $500 for a computer" rule of thumb that has held for over 20 years. They used to have professional sales people, and took care of their customers. Canning the pros was the dumbest thing they ever did. They became a ghost of Worst Buy, with less stock and higher prices.
