FedEx shipment missing
#1
I checked on an order from OWC and it shows that it was delivered to my house when no one was home. Message on tracking info reads - Left at front door. Package delivered to recipient address - release authorized. Package is not here - what do I do? I have never had this happen before.

I know I will need to wait until Friday. If it was stolen from my front door the thief will not like what they took .Laptop battery and AC charger.

Any chance it was left at a neighbors house ?

Let's hope they made a mistake saying it was delivered when it really wasn't.

I have to check with the neighbors but I doubt it.

let us know what happens, I am always worried of these kinds of situations, UPS and fedEx often leave packages at my door, and I live in a condo, with people going up and down the stairs all the time. So far I haven't had a problem. Knocking on wood.

Sometimes I ship stuff at work, especially more expensive stuff. A few years ago I ordered a camcorder ($600) from J&R, and they didn't like that I shipped it at work, so they called me and the credit card (AMEX) to verify and after all they decided to ship it.

I tracked the package online, and UPS claimed it was delivered, yet our shipping/receiving person had no clue about any package. I called UPS, they said someone signed for it. They told me the name... didn't ring a bell. I was starting to get really worried at this point.

I kissed the camera good bye and I was thinking about what to do next, if I should file a dispute with AMEX or what other options I could pursue, and the next day at work a colleague found the package at one of the loading bays for trucks. It turns out our shipping/receiving guy was at lunch when UPS came, and the UPS driver found a loading dock open, came inside and one contractor signed for the package, and then the box sat there in the warehouse until it was accidentally found by my colleague.

hope your package show up, but if not, I'd like to know what comes out.

All of the delivery systems are in a frenzy this time of the year. Probably delivered it to a similar address.

This week I had two packages delivered to my address that were not for me, the UPS person transposed the numbers in my address. To many p/t & temps on the job now. They were notified and still haven't picked them up for proper delivery.

Call FedEx and OWC, it will be worked out!

I have also heard that criminals cruse the streets looking for packages on doorsteps.

Best 2 U this season!

Only time I had this happen, I searched with all the neighbors, called them, etc. When they got ahold of the driver, he said he left it at the back door to protect it from being stolen since I wasn't home. I hadn't even looked there because the tracking info said front door. Any chance it's around back?

Second this. Try to think like a driver who doesn't know your habits.
Is there an entrance you don't ever use? Open the screen door and look.
Did they "hide" it for you, in a box or garbage can maybe?
Chances are they scribbled on the notice they left but the notice blew away.
Second most likely scenario as per MB's 1st suggestion.

Package showed up today with no explanation. Everything intact. Never heard a truck pull up but opened the front door to go out and there was the package just sitting on the stoop.

The OWC logo packing tape was unbroken but the box was a little rough around the edges.

Another mystery of the universe that may never be revealed......
