Anyone know bulbs?
#1
I have a bunch of bulbs that didn't get into the ground before the freeze/snow (Chicago/ zone 5). Buncha tulips and the like, but also some kind of expensive german garlic . . .
My question is how much of a freeze this stuff needs-- should I try to find a way to get them in now (small break between snow cover, but ground still mostly frozen) or wait to see if there's a thaw in late fall/early spring? Or can I put them in the freezer now and plant out in early spring?
Thx . . .

Stick them in a browwn paper bag and then wrap them with aluminum foil, then put them into your freezer until you can get them into the ground in the spring.

I was expecting a question about watts and color balance.

Stick them in pots of soil and leave them outside. When they grow in the spring you can pop them into any spaces in the garden. I always seem to have a few bulbs unplanted by Christmas and they still seem to come up, maybe a little later.

I never put them in the freezer, I put them in the vegetable drawer in the frig. for a month. That is for tulips, they need a chill. Don't think others do.

I live near Los Angeles, so I do not have the same climate as you.
