Nice bro. Does that have the performance package or is the air dam just an individual upgrade?

Nice picture and a very nice ride. I guess it is too cold to drop the top.

I dunno... Looks pretty sunny and warm there especially compared to Michigan right now. Where did you take it? Here the tops go down-and the motorcycles come out-when it gets to 50º!
The Shadow/Highlight tool is pretty nice too...

I've actually gone for a motorcycle ride at 45º.
That's a sickness known as Spring Fever in South Dakota. Of course I was much younger then. Now I wait for at least 55-60º.

It was in the 30s coming over the Siskiyous, but about 1/2 hour after I took that picture it warmed up and voila! I drove the remaining 250 miles with the top down and music blaring: ![]() ...and Carnos, yes it has the performance package (though that's mostly a handling package...the horsepower increase isn't that much).

A true convertibleista, you are, davester. There is something so sweet about driving with the top down, windows up and the heater blowing away. I must say I haven't taken the top down on my Miata in the snow, living in the deep south and all, but a nice crisp fall day can be heaven.
Your car looks a lot redder in that last shot. I used to have a 1980 Toyota Celica that was about that color. A dealer in Chattanooga, Tennessee had converted 499 hardtops to convertibles. He had to stay under 500 so that he didn't have to do crash tests and such. That was my first convertible. It was replaced by the Miata that I still have. ![]() Whippet, Whippet Good

rgG wrote:True that! The car is actually blood red, not the orangey red in the last picture. I exposed the photos largely for the mountains in the background so even playing around with the color balance I couldn't get it right. Here's a photo on the dealer's website: ![]()

Me likey. This was a sight-unseen purchase, right? How did you reach the point where you felt comfortable doing it? That'd take a big leap for me. Looks like it's from a BMW dealer so I guess they had enough guarantees on it's condition and care etc.
