If only Apple would make something w/ the same form factor as the Mini9/AspireOne/EEEPC for around $400. This thing (using the Mini9 right now to post) is a great deal for under $300.
In my defense, I have talked my brother, sister, and dad all into buying Minis (the Apple kind, not the Dell kind) during the past year.

Wow. I was JUST thinking of this.

Honestly, I think it's pretty cool to see people buying Dells to run OS X on them. Apple wants to ignore the market for netbooks. Well, this is the alternative.
It isn't like the space here is precious. Only enough bytes for 100% genuine Mac goods. Carry on. I am reading the threads with interest. I'm thinking unless Apple comes out with a Super Mac Mini or a Mini Tower; I am replacing two older G5s in the house with Hackintoshes.

There are the purest and then there are the adventurous.
Maybe this this is the latest USB scale type craze but I've enjoyed all aspects of the Dell mini 9, from the install process, to learning how it's even possible (EFI partition), to actually using it for practical purposes.

Judging by that website, I would say it's much bigger than the USB scale was.

Sounds good to me - somebody missed us MSI Wind owners though.

Apple seems to be losing potential customers all over the place! Losing them at the low end with no Netbooks...losing them at the high end with weakish products. |
