Excuse me? The gas run-up, as good as it could have been for the environment had it held, played no small roll in scaring consumers into clamping down on their expenditures and missing mortgage and credit card payments, pushing the credit crunch into critical.

I didn't mean to advocate high gas prices at all. I meant to say that the market brought down the price without politicians climbing all over each other to save us. Get my drift?

There is this "Black" guy going around too. I thought you dropped the landlord part.

Oh, sorry. I totally misunderstood and thought you were saying that the lack of "regulation" in response to the gas price spike was evidence of deep economic wisdom and mature leadership on the part of the previous regime.
