wasn't the Pismo the best lookin' Mac laptop ever?

(I had a Wallstreet, but the Pismo was thinner and curvy and had those cool keys...)

Absolutely loved the Pismo.
Easy to work on, Dual Battery Bays, Grippy exterior.

Yeah, I loved the exterior, too. And if you had two batteries, wouldn't it last like seven hours? (That's what I remember from my Wallstreet, but my memories may be embellishing themselves).

What I thought was really cool was that you could put these models to sleep, take any batteries out, and put them (or fresh ones) back in, and wake back up. They slept fine (for a while at least) without any batteries- must have had an internal battery too.

Can you do this with modern laptops? I guess I've never tried.

Yeah...I stillv use the PISMO once in a while to read stories to the kids. Its a nice laptop, but lugging it around on business really makes my shoulder hurt.

yes, I doubled up to white ones over the dell logo.

My daughter called me a "poser" for doing it though.


I had some trouble with mine last night. Beach ball in safari, tried a force quit, beach balled the finder. I got impatient and pressed the power button. Screwed the install had to reinstall today.

I'm wondering if anybody is going to cut the top of the lid and put a "real", lighted Apple logo on the Mini.
