I've googled and went to Radio Shack and I can not find one but I know they must exist....

most people don't want them that short.

you could always buy a camcorder just for the cable... but they're usually a bit longer than 1 ft...

I'd think BestBuy, or your local camera/video store would be likely, though the length, or lack thereof, may still be problematic.

You can also search for an iPod AV cable since it does the same thing, there might be more options out there.

Note that a couple of the "colors" are reversed on the iPod video cables (i.e. when used with a video device, the white plug is actually video, or some such thing, don't remember which cables are switched exactly).

Shortest version of that cable I've ever seen is about 6-8" with female RCA plugs but is bundled with Sony clamshell decks (i.e. GV-D1000). Not sure where you'd get it separately.

Alternatively, modern technology has provided us the means to shorten the length of any cable whist retaining full functionality-

Behold- the rubber band!

Check http://www.youdoitelectronics.com/ for odd cables and such.
They don't have mail order off the site, but you can call them and order a part.

They're in my town and a very reputable dealer! (I buy all my cables there, cause they're so handy.)

I should have explained that it's for my Steadycam Pilot rig. I have a longer cord but it makes it difficult to get a precise balence when I set up a camera due to the bundled extra cable. It is incredibly feather sensitive.

Steadycam has still not called me back yet, but it's looking like I will just make one or chop mine down with solder and tape.

You-do-it, didn't.

Thanks for the info and the chuckles.
