Got my USB Missile Launcher from Woot!

Fun for about 5 minutes. A neat -- if brief -- diversion for visitors.

The Mac software works fine. It installs some kernel extensions, but so far they haven't demonstrated any instability.

Oddly, it wouldn't work off of a USB 1.1 bus and knocked my Logitech mouse off of the bus when it was connected that way. 'Worked fine via USB 2.0.

I bought the Bluetooth "Vintage" handset from ThinkGeek a couple of years ago.
Thought it would be a neat gadget that would make me the "life of any party."

Boy, was I ever wrong.

Most of these novelties sound like fun in concept, but in general, never should have gotten off the drawing table.

Unless, of course, there are enough suckers out there buying them...

Ooooooh! Make some upfitted replacement missles out of balsa wood, sanded to a sharp point dipped in WhiteOut. Now we're talking.
