Resetting BootCamp partition?

when my son partitioned his iMac hard drive for Windows he seriously underestimated how much space he would need. can BootCamp modify the size of the partition once windows is installed?

No.

You can clone the partition with Winclone, remove then recreate a new larger partition with Boot Camp (don't proceed past the partition creation stage), then restore your installation with Winclone to the new larger partition. You'll have to activate certain special options in Winclone when you do so--instructions are on the Winclone site.

I found out if you have the beta version of Boot Camp reset your date back to about 2001 and you can use it again. I'm probably the on person here that is only running 10.4.11 and had the beta version of Boot Camp.
