Free music player for Palm?
#1
My 9 yo son was just given a Tungsten E and would really love to be able to play mp3s on it. We don't have the Palm SW CD that came with it, which I believe has a player. Are there any decent free players out there? We've done the Google thing and only seem to come up with link farms, free XP virus scans and such. TIA

Why not just download the software from the Palm website?

I have this on my Palm Centro. I'm using a free version but you'd have to check 'em out to see what they offer.

Pocket Tunes is well worth the money especially if the Tungsten has wifi. i listen to internet radio on my TX with Pocket Tunes quite a lot.

Real Player is a free download, and it plays MP3's in the background. http://www.real.com/palm

tcpmp. Takes some noodling around with plug-ins; works really well. Plays videos, too.

TCPMP does a great job at playing video - even on the midspeed Tungsten E. It will also play MP3's, but it can't play in the background like Real Player can. I had some problems with TCPMP 0.72, and found the prior version (0.71?) worked better on my Tungsten E.
