Nice jugs! Or, do you buy milk in a glass container?

There are still a few dairy farms here in Ma. that do (thier own) home delivery.
The one that was near me is gone now, though.

Growing up out parents had home delivery of milk.
We had the galvanized insulated box, but the milkman could and did come right in and put the milk in the fridge.
Unless one of the girls was home alone, then the dog wouldn't let him in. Boys home alone was OK.

I swear that milk out of glass bottles tastes better. But I have nowhere to buy it. Sad

haven't seen glass milk jugs in 20 years!

However, I've seen plenty of silicone jugs in the same time span.....

{I'll use any excuse to post this old pix} :eek2:

Yes...not all the time, but occasionally I'll get theirs - good stuff: http://www.shattomilk.com/

In Montana, we often couldn't get the milk before it froze. But it didn't break the bottle. The foil and paper cap would be sitting on a column of frozen milk coming out of the top of the bottle.
