Wired Celebrates the Jaguar marque.. what's your most favourite Jag ?
#1
Which Jag would you wish ?

Me ? XKE V-12. Red, convertible....

I was 17, riding my bike along a busy road in the height of summer. And the chain broke, and I took a major header in the middle of the street. Came to just before being squashed by a dump truck, rolled off the road, and passed out again.

And came to to an absolute vision leaning over me... long blonde hair, awesome cleavage in a tight fitting red dress, heels, huge green eyes.. She helped me up and got me into the passenger seat of her Red XKE V-12. I babbled. And she drove me home, despite the fact that I was bleeding all over the red leather interior.

Because she was a friend of my mother's from Church. And at least 20 years my senior. My mother later tried to fix me up with her daughter who was,,, yowza, just as amazing. But... kind of brainless, so the date didn't go anywhere.

It was possibly the most painful / erotic experience of my life. And I all have are memories and the scars from the road rash. Sigh...

Sounds like you enjoyed more the lady than the car.

Not a huge Jag fan myself.... How about this one?

Older E-Type. The straight 6 version with the road racing transmission. A friend has one in black.

The stepfather of a good friend from high school had one of these - XK140:

I never got a ride in it because the flywheel ring gear was shot and he couldn't get it started. As I recall, it just sat in the garage as long as he lived. Never learned what happened to it when he passed away…

Well, whose fault is that? Did you return her email yet?

The E-type roadsters from the sixties/early seventies were one of the most beautiful cars ever built and WAY ahead of their time style-wise, IMO. Didn't like the hardtops at all.

different girl. The emailer is the second smartest lady I ever loved. My wife is the smartest (she married me, duh !).

I just was never able to stand dating dumb 'hot chicks'. Even to the point when one such lass asked me if I wanted to 'go to her room and f*', I politely declined and went home. I guess I was an atypical teenaged boy.

Light colored, tan interior, XJR from about six or seven years ago. Kinda grampa car-ish, but a nice ride nonetheless.
