Busy day in the kitchen!
#1
Harvested a bunch of jalapenos, cayennes and cowhorns over the past few weeks. Tuesday I gutted the peppers and started the candying process. Finished them today and dipped a few of them in a dark chocolate coating. I bought a pound or so of bacon ends at the local market, chopped that up and fried and drained it. I then used some of the now-spicy syrup from the candying process to make spicy maple bacon toffee brittle with pecans.

Next up is to start a small batch of homemade chocolate ice cream with some of the candied peppers!

I support your right to like and made what foods you enjoy...

But that's nasty.

And ponder a moment who is saying this to you.

Oh yeah and I once had green chile, rosemary lemonade at a restaurant in Las Cruces, NM. It was fantastic. Never underestimate chile peppers!

Oh, I'd try it... I'm that kind of guy...
But I don't think I'd go out of my way to seek it out :-)

Enjoy! (said non-sarcastically...)
