And my fave of his films ?

Operation Petticoat. (Also know as the WWII movie about the Pink Submarine.) A lovely little romantic comedy. Curtis was very happy to be working with Cary Grant, who was a role model for him.

He was devastatingly good in "The Sweet Smell of Success," and "The Defiant Ones." He was a great actor and a great celebrity. I loved the Stony Curtis episode.
