Ironically (coincidentally), I already had this flavor mixed and in the fridge when I saw that thread! My heart sank a little bit when I read it. I thought I had come up with an awesome "new" combo, and here comes Cold Stone GIVING it away!
recipe? I kinda made it up on the fly.. let me know how I did.
I started with a recipe for vanilla. I subbed half the granulated sugar with light brown sugar, and added some cinnamon.
Add-ins: I bought 3 apples (fuji, granny smith, macintosh {natch!]), cubed them and simmered them in a simple syrup reduction with cinnamon. Let sit overnight to absorb, then drained them.
Regular old Honey Maid graham crackers.
Caramel - I made my own caramel sauce to use, and I added some vanilla and cinnamon. I think I burned the sugar, though, as it came out quite bitter. In a pinch, I just used Hershey's caramel syrup.
Mix, freeze, enjoy!
