Any way to run with phone without getting it wet from sweat?
#1
I got an armband holder for my phone, and I really like the way it feels and fits. But I just got back from a long run in the heat, and there was a ton of condensation inside under the plastic, and the armband was soaked. I took the phone out, and it was very wet - there was even some condensation under the screen. I think it is going to be OK once it dries out.

I really like using RunKeeper, but I can't imagine a holder that can keep a phone dry and cool at the same time.

FWIW, this is the holder I got.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

RunKeeper is terrific. It uploads tons of data about the run and it is instantly available online. I had been using a Garmin Forerunner 405, but this is much more slick, in my opinion.

I pretty much always keep my phone in a plastic baggie, in case I get caught in the rain . . . I presume you were looking for a more elegant solution.

Any chance of it overheating in the bag?

I would put it in a RadioFlyer wagon, and pull the wagon behind you.

.

When you need more resistance, add a few concrete blocks.

Before running downhill, move unit to the rear. Before running uphill, move unit to the front.

Or triple ziplock and shove in your underwear.

How about just using a ziplock sandwich bag inside the arm band for days like today? You shouldn't need the ziplock on cooler days.

(According to my home weather station, currently in East Lansing the heat index is 109F and the dew point is 77F.)
