best place to buy spare parts for iPod Touch?

I have an iPod Touch with unresponsive screen, 2G, 16 GB. Mint condition. Apple wants $149 to replace it, I wonder it it makes sense to buy a touch screen and try to repair it myself? yes, I know it's hard to open, I already messed up the plastic frame

You would be better off selling it as-is on ebay and buying a refurb for all that trouble wouldn't you?

Dang! My son's Touch worked great for a year with a cracked screen, then one day, just up and died. Oh well!
