I use Drive Genius and I wholeheartedly recommend it. The best feature, in my opinion, is Drive Pulse. DP runs in the background and continually tests all drives for fragmentation, physical surface errors, and volume integrity. DP also checks integrity of preference files on the boot drive. It does the usual battery of drive fixing, partitioning, system tests, benchmarking, and other stuff. $29 for Drive Pulse is a steal.

I'm in for a copy as well.
I have DG2 and Prosoft lists their upgrade price as $49. Ouch.
$12.38 (includes shipping) is a much nicer price.
I'd say it's a good utility to have.

Is this the full version or an upgrade that requires a previous version?
There is nothing on the page that says anything about being an upgrade or an earlier version as a system requirement, but the link name contains "prosoftDriveGeniusUpgrade2011.cfm"
I ordered one, but I don't have a previous version, I wonder if I should cancel?

*Currently DVD Boot support is not available for the new Apple MacBook Pro 15" and 17" i5 or i7; late 2009 iMac Models with i5 or i7 Intel Processors. This disc can be read by any Intel Mac Model and can be directly booted on all Mac mini, MacBook, MacBook Pro, iMac, and Mac Pro models equipped with Intel Core Duo, Core 2 Duo, or any Xeon processor. Prosoft and other utility makers are awaiting Apple to provide a boot license solution for the Intel i5 and i7 processor based Macs.

I got a version, I believe from Clay on a Free Monday Item. I don't know which version though, I cannot find the CD right now. Pondering whether to jump on this deal or not, risk is I might buy something I already have, or that I won't use in the future. Is this a full version that can be resold if it turns out I already have a copy, does it come with a BOX and UPC, or it is some sort of OEM (CD only, no box) version which cannot be resold/transferred?
