I'm in that broadcast area, and I like it a lot, I've been a KPLU listener for many years. I wish the signal was stronger, since I'm in Seattle, not Tacoma, and I like listening to KPLU on the air (like many here, radio is a decreasing part of my media time) This is a station I make an exception for, mainly in my car. I love those guys.

Meh, try WBGO instead. And yes, we're (I'm an employee) in iTunes.

There is a plethora of Jazz in and at iTunes *(:>* me thinks *(:>* When it comes to music it is not the City
or the radio station hosting the music it is really all about the music . . . ymmv :priate:

I agree the music is important. But where it's coming from determines what's being played. I have a lot of respect for what KPLU does, I'm simply suggesting an alternative to the safe, white bread jazz that KPLU plays (hence the "Meh"). There's nothing wrong with white bread either, lots of people like it. But lots of people like other flavors as well. And in that spirit, if you like jazz, you might also check out WKCR, WWOZ, and NPR Music's Jazz and Blues section.

Either way, keep listening, support what you hear, and go see some live music!

Big second to WWOZ. National treasure there.

I like KEWU, from Cheney, WA. Select the "Quicktime" stream for best quality. You'll get a .mov file that iTunes treats as a "streaming movie."

Both KPLU and KEWU are Washington State college radio stations FWIW.
