As part of it celebration of US Independence Day, the Californian city of San Diego planned a 20-minute firework display launched from barges in the city's bay.
However, an unspecified glitch set off all the fireworks for the show at the same time, meaning thousands of spectators saw only an intense 15-second explosion.
