Can any MacBook Airs have their HD upgraded?

A friend is asking. Not sure which one he has.

yes, but each model requires a different connection so be sure he knows which one he is looking for.

PS: removing the SSD from the 2010-2012 models will void the warranty so says a little sticker on the connector. I've asked at the apple store - they will not install an upgrade (made by anyone) and maintain the warranty.

The FTC would actually argue differently.... You're responsible if you actually break something, but this is not a warranty voiding action. Further - there is no 'sticker' on the connector to 'break' when you remove the Apple SSD module to upgrade/replace it. Someone is mistaken or misinformed. Smile

FWIW - we have SSD options for every MacBook Air 2008 to cusrrent.
