The website buzzfeed.com is calling into question whether the Romney campaign exaggerated the size of the crowd at Tuesday's campaign rally in Henderson.

An image on the campaign's instagram account appears to be digitally altered, buzzfeed says.

"I think it was a botched instagram," Team Romney Nevada spokesman Mason Harrison said. "I think they tried to do a panorama and it didn't work. It's not like we were trying to pull the wool over anybody's eyes.

"I don't think there's any need to embellish the fact that there were 6,000 people there."

The Henderson Pavilion's official capacity is about 4,000, including standing room.

"The fire marshal told us there were 6,800," Harrison said. "Our online check-in showed just over 6,000 check-ins.

"We're not trying to overestimate. I'm inclined to believe the computer. I don't know what else to say — all I'm saying is we checked in 6,000 people."

Even if they are not trying to pull a fast one, why in the world would they let such an botched picture out? Could they not hire a decent photographer or at least a semi-skilled editor? No matter how you slice it, in 2012 this looks pretty poor.
