I'm scared to death. Posting from itouch. Mini core2duo was running fine, left it for a bit without telling it to sleep,, went to wake up screen and nothing. It was on a surge protecting power strip that says it's happy Removed power supply and reconnected although things were tight, , tried known working plug, power button on mini does nothing. USB devices don't see power. I'm scared and kind of desperate. How do I narrow down the problem? HAte to buy power supply if that is not the problem. If I should, though, where is best placeto buy? Shopping from touch not ideal.
Thanks,
Skye

Just take it in to an Applestore and have them test it out.

Do you or anyone you know have a multi-meter that you could check if there is any output voltage?

I'll ask around, thanks for the idea(don't have one myself). For $45 I definitely don't want to buy a power supply in case that is the problem... will have to find some time to bring it to Providence if the multimeter thing doesn't work out. Do you think they'll have my relatively old power supply in stock, or will I still have to order it?

Gee that might work nicely. I hate to bother you but then I do like to meet local Apple fans. Are you looking to sell it or do you need it? Probably easier than getting into Apple store... was going to try to go Wednesday after 5pm.

Another thing-how specific are these things? Mine is a low end '09 but I'd have to look at the serial number to get more info if that is needed. Just don't want to plug in one that isn't right for the machine! This type of problem makes me very bad at solving problems... like having an ill kid or pet, I'm sure I'm not the only one. If this was my friend's machine I'd be very reasonable and methodical about it. Thanks for the help-fingers crossed!

I'm using it, but you could use it to determine the problem. This guy might have a used one:http://providence.craigslist.org/syd/3868337087.html
