USPS.com -Any way to print a sample shipping label first?
#1
How can one print a sample label Before charging my Visa for postage?

I don't see any option to test, and I'm highly skeptical that the system will work any better for me now than it did when tried once before, a few yrs back... At which time it would not print, and took me close to a month to get the credit card charge reversed.

As I recall from the last time I used it, it always offered a sample to print before going for the real thing. You may have to fill out all of your info before you see the "Sample" printing option.

What I can offer is that it does work better.....used to have to fire up Safari each time (I otherwise don't use it) but recently it started working fine in Firefox.

You can buy USPS shipping labels through PayPal as well.

The process -I made up a fictional pkg to send to myself- takes me up to where I must then enter payment (CC or PayPal) info, before hitting he button to continue to Pay & Print. I didn't enter CC info yet, but no test printing button seen to that point.

this, I am pretty sure the PayPal will let you print a sample first, or at least void the postage if you don't use the label. here is what they say when you print one:

"Made a mistake on the label?
You have 48 hours to void it. We'll let the U.S. Postal Service know you've voided the label, and we'll respond within 15 calendar days. If your void is approved, we'll credit the amount to your PayPal account.

Need to print your label again?
You can reprint your U.S. Postal Service shipping label, but must do it within 24 hours of creating it."

The Paypal "we'll respond within 15 days" to void a purchase sounds like it's the same old USPS routine.
My god, is there even another merchant Anywhere online that runs your cancelled purchase through for 15 days before voiding it? If so, they'd probably be breaking the law.

This is the kind of online catch-22 that turns me negative. I have a strong suspicion that the thing won't print -I'on running 10.5.8, and the main reason I never upgraded the OS past that, is that I'm even more sure that doing so would then break the printer (xerox phaser)!

Download as a PDF and print in Adobe Acrobat Reader.

UPS 30 days. I voided a UPS shipping label I got via Amazon and I have to wait 30 days for a decision from carrier for a credit to my Amazon account.
