Is anyone here a fan? Which is the best album of hers? Preferably LIVE acoustic; not interested in her New Wave time frame. Looking to spring a surprise on my awesome wife who never owns a single of AL's CD tho' AL is one of her fav singers.

I take it the old Eurythmics CDs are out?

Well, since you ruled out her new wave stuff I guess I shouldn't point you to:

Diva
Bare
Medusa
Songs of Mass Destruction

Funny you mention it.. I have her on my 'top rated' list.. Medusa.
FWIW... not really 'I love you' kind of songs. Very soulful, but mostly blues soul. Sadness....

Annie hasn't ever released a live acoustic record. She performed with the BBC Orchestra a few years back, but no recording was ever commercially released.

Medusa is an album of covers but god what amazing covers.

All awesome albums. I'm also enjoying her new one, Nostalgia, her take on some great classic standards.

I'm a fan, but don't have any albums. Don't take this the wrong way, but every time I hear her on TV or the radio, the material never seems to be equal to her capabilities and potential. Or, to put it another way, if she ever teamed up with the right producer and songwriter(s), she would be unbelievable.

I believe she did a MTV Unplugged back in the day. I don't believe it was a wide release album or collection, but there's lots to be found on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_q...+unplugged

With the right software, you could make your own album. Wink

I especially like Medusa (all covers, all quite unique) and Diva
although neither are in the requested live-acoustic category.

checking out her The Best of ... on Youtube right now. Still beating myself up for missing her concert at UCLA when I was working there...still too poor to afford her ticket.
