Lost my membership in Cell Phone Luddites Anonymous today

After 14 and a half years with two non-smart phones, which I think cost less than $150 total, there is a new iPhone 6 in da house. It involved going to a Sprint store, which had only the 16GB models, from there to an Apple Store to get what I wanted, and a trip to another Sprint store, because the first one was incorrect in saying that everything could be set up by Apple (not a surprise that they got that wrong). Coolest part of it was that Sprint Store #2 was able to transfer all my info from the SFP to the iPhone. They also gave me the $50 a month unlimited deal.

I ordered a case and screen protector for it, and will have to be very careful in the meantime. I hope I like it, because I'll never get my old plan back.

Good for you man. The $50 unlimited is a super-sweet deal. You have to mash on the screen to make it go now.

yes, smartphones are ravenous beasts. it's important to always have a way to top them off. that was the biggest adjustment for me when i moved up. all vehicles have a charger, multiple charging locations in the house, and a small, pocket-sized battery back-up.
