There are actually a whole ton of cheap drives purporting to have 512 GB capacity.

Then there are two expensive ones...

I wouldn't buy a USB 2 flash drive over 64 GB. I also wouldn't buy a flash drive over 64 GB unless it was a name brand.

There are more than two manufacturers that have 512 GB flash drives, but Patriot doesn't have a thumb size version in 512 GB (yet).

The reviewer who says that they are hacked 4GB and 8GB drives that report as if they have greater capacity is probably correct. Similar hacked drives are all over eBay.

No way you get 512GB into that small size today - no way.

Love the two 5 star reviews. both note 'Great Product' - they don't look like they are fake reviews at all... right...

No way... and no way from a cost perspective to do 512GB for $15 either. That's a fraction of the cost to make a real 512GB flash based anything.

LOL - other than not LOL for folks that buy/bought.
