Donald Trump Said Today That He Will Make Apple Manufacture Their Products In The USA
#1
Woah! He sure is powerful! :RollingEyesSmiley5:

What do you think, would he have the authority to do so?

Would he also swap his Samsung phone for an iPhone? Confusedmiley-shocked003:

Hahahahahhahahahah!!! That's hysterical. I think FoxCon employs more people than are unemployed in the US. They'd need to import several hundred thousand immigrants to do that. I'm sure Trump would just love that...

edit: As of 2013:
By the numbers: How Foxconn churns out Apple's iPhone 5S

1,000,000: Number of workers Foxconn employs in China
100,000: Number of production lines it runs
300,000: Number of people working exclusively on the iPhone 5S
24 hours, 7 days a week: Foxconn’s iPhone 5S factory runtime
500,000: Daily iPhone 5S output from Foxconn’s Zhengzhou site

If Apple could use robots to make their iPhones, it could be cheaper to make in the U S of A.

But noone wants to hear that!

I read before that it would cost too much to build them here anyway. iPhones would cost over $5K if they were made here.

No, he wouldn't have the authority to decree that.

He has a completely different idea of what POTUS' job description.

But it sounds good in a 'Merica for 'Mericans campaign speech.

If that happened, his weave would flip its lid.

Does this thread serve any purpose beyond insulting all of those users who have respected the "keep the politics" in the rubber room rule ?
