Mom broke her arm. Looking for a dashiki/toga-like shirt to just pull over her head, sling and all.

I haven't found anything to buy. I want to just take two pieces of cloth and DIY it. I guess I could make a prototype using safety pins. Any ideas for the finished product? Velcro?

The breaks (2 of them) as just below the shoulder. Poking her arm through a sleeve hole is not doable.

Hmm...maybe do a search for ponchos. Believe it or not, they're popular again these days. Also try searching for women's tunics.

And PS -- sorry about your mom!

Side opening blouses ? Mrs. cbelt3 just cut a few T-shirts for me when I was all busted up, and safety pinned them on the side when she changed my shirt for me.

Is that a real poncho or a Sears poncho?

Yes, a poncho would do nicely. Many styles and inexpensive. She can throw a serape over her wounded wing.

She really should see a doctor for the arm.
They might have recommendations for dressing as well.

I can totally get behind billb's suggestion, she should definitely see a doctor about the broken arm. Don't let not having the right outfit to wear deter her from getting proper medical care.
