In Chi town for the 4th - any locals with tips or suggestions?

Partner and I are in Chicago til Tuesday, and plan to do the Art Institute, Field Museum, Millennium Park, etc. Could use suggestions for cheap eats, any other "don't miss" spots near downtown, etc. Both vegetarian, so sorry - no steakhouses for us. We love pizza, though, so point us to the good spots...

Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

I really enjoyed the Shedd Aquarium. For me the architecture was as interesting as the exhibits.

Who doesn't? Chicago has the best. Pizzeria Uno on Ohio St. is within walking distance of where you will be.

If you have wheels, check out my old neighborhood, Bucktown, couple of miles from the Loop. Great restaurants and bars and galleries.

Have a great time, in a great City!

Not cheap but, if you have a rainy day, visit the Navy Pier.

Say, "Hi," to Black if you see him.

But I bought vegan donuts there for a couple of our crew from there. Maybe they lied to me.
