Nice car but not something I would want sitting in my garage.

On Sunday I saw an early '50's Cadillac hearse-to-RV conversion headed in the opposite direction I was going. Everything ahead of the firewall was Caddy while everything back including the windshield was homemade RV. Basically a big box likely sitting on the Caddy frame. Roughly like this but at least five to seven years older:

I'm a bit more enamored with this 1966 Jaguar XKE Series 1 OTS

But you have to have room for the full-time mechanic.

I was drooling over that Jag too. Around 1968 a friend of mine watched his '63 XKE Coupe burn to a crisp because he'd hooked up his negative ground eight--track to the Jag's positive ground system incorrectly. It looked brand new. I just about wept when I saw the remains.

That Studebaker looks clean, but it wasn't "cool looking" when it was new, and it still isn't.

Here, IMHO, are the cool looking later model Studebakers:

I like the later Studies too, but I dig the older kind of Valiant look to the Lark.

though the jag is sweet, especially in that blue. My mechanic would disown me.

Nice Lark.:gears:

You didn't have to own an oil well to keep it lubed like you would the Jag. :poke:

A bit easier on the environment. :nono:

Yeah, but the Jag recycled its oil, transmission oil and grease - all over your driveway. You never had to change them; just keep them topped up.
