FX's Legion: New Teasers Introduce Charles Xavier's Powerful Son]
.....Warning: These new teasers for FX’s Legion series are so good, you’re going to want to kiss them — but as you’ll see, that probably wouldn’t be a great idea.
Appropriately titled “Switch,” the first video (above) finds Dan Stevens’ character — a diagnosed schizophrenic named David Charles Haller, the son of X-Men mastermind Charles Xavier — recalling an incident in which he accidentally switched bodies with a girl by locking lips.
Premiering in early 2017, Legion follows David’s personal journey, as he discovers that the voices and visions he’s been experiencing in his head might actually be real.
A second promo (below) features David and Lenny — an optimistic drug user, played by Aubrey Plaza — gazing in wonder at… well, I’m not quite sure who. But, hey, that’s probably why the video is titled “WTF”:
Prof. X's.......son.........?!
Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll Cancelled at FX
.....Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll and… cancelled.
Although an FX rep could not be reached for comment, it has learned that the cabler has pulled the plug on Denis Leary’s underrated music satire after two seasons.
As a result, last week’s Season 2 finale will now function as the comedy’s series finale.
S&D&R&R this summer averaged just 420,000 total weekly viewers and a 0.2 demo rating (in Live+Same Day numbers), down a full 30 percent from its freshman run.
no more rolling.....?!
Mistresses Cancelled After Four Seasons
....Mistresses has been put to bed.
ABC has cancelled the frothy summertime soap after four seasons. Last Tuesday’s Season 4 finale — which revolved around the death of Yunjin Kim’s Karen — will now serve as the series finale. The episode drew 2.6 million viewers and an 0.6 rating, on par with the show’s Season 3 finale.
Exec producer Rina Mimoun earlier this week said that she and showrunner Josh Reims were in the process of trying to sell the network on the idea of “a final fling” of 13 episodes to air in 2017. “We really feel like there’s one more year of story to tell, but we’re also looking for a graceful way to wrap up the series,” she explained. “There’d be some new hot messes in the mix, and we’d be moving back toward the kind of racy romp that Mistresses was when it began.”
MISsed it....by that much.........?!
