Trump tells UN that US is prepared to 'totally destroy' North Korea
President Trump was repeatedly warned by aides not to personally attack the North Korean leader during his blustery “Rocket Man” speech at the UN General Assembly, a report said Friday.
Trump threatened to “totally destroy” the nuclear-armed country during Tuesday’s speech and said “Rocket Man” Kim Jong Un is on a “suicide mission.”
The Los Angeles Times said those remarks were not included in a draft of the speech the was vetted by several senior officials on Monday.
Chief of Staff John Kelly, who has tried to reign in Trump’s more bellicose positions, could be seen burying his face into his hand as Trump made the remarks.
A CIA psychological profile of Kim comes to the conclusion that the young leader has a massive ego and reacts harshly and sometimes lethally to insults and perceived slights, the LA Times noted.
(and The Post apologizes for having people who can't spell 'rein' correctly)
