When I was in Little League, back in the 70's, our league had a female umpire. She was a teacher at my school. Two years later, she was my teacher. Nastiest teacher I ever had. I don't think she liked any student. Was so happy when she left in the 3rd quarter (she had a baby). But that was a big deal back then to have a female umpire. Our little league didn't allow girls to play.

Why would being a white male be an advantage? Lots of non-white baseball players.

And I'd think women would have great eyesight, too.
