blur or black box a video
#1
I have a screen capture of my phone that the manufacturer (LG) wants to see, but I'm reluctant to send it as it has a phone number visible.
Is there a way with a simple app (Quicktime) that I can blur or black box the phone number?

Is this just a still image or a video?

Either way, once you have it in QT, get a blank finder window or some other item, place it over the area you want to obscure and take another screenshot or screen capture of that.

EDIT: Or, in Preview, use the markup tools to create a box on top of your image.

Command-shift-4 is your friend.

maybe my friend but with the Preview doc title heading, not so much.
Unless there's a way to make that go away that I am unaware of.

found a way. In QT there is a menu item that makes a box for Special Characters. Slid that in the way.
