There is no doubt Apple will rely heavily on Ive and the team he left behind, for designs.

Ive is just free to do other projects, and not necessarily just tech stuff.

I guess everybody thinks 'Wow! Now we get ports and inch-thick laptops and iDevices with one-week battery life! And lick-able icons! And user replaceable RAM and storage! Yippee! And no more mice with charge ports on the bottom. We are SAVED!'

Not gonna happen.
